MainTech maintenance inspection port takes the place of conventional manholes. Unlike a manhole, a worker cannot enter a MainTech. However, conventional television inspection equipment as well as sewer cleaning vacuum tubes and jet rodder hoses can be inserted into the collection system line through a MainTech.
The MainTech is lightweight and can be hand carried by workmen to the installation location.
Little Rock Wastewater Utility commonly uses the MainTech inspection ports at the end of collection system cleanout lines in the backyards of residences.
Another common use for MainTech is for a vault to house air release valves.
